Rashad is an 18-year veteran of the Los Angeles City Fire Department whose roots began in the finance industry. Rashad was a magnet student in high school and attended the University of Southern California simultaneously, studying Foundations of Economics and Accounting. Rashad interned at then, Salomon Smith Barney in Beverly Hills, CA. At the time it was one of the five largest investment banking enterprises in the United States and the most profitable firm on Wall Street during the 1980s and 1990s. There, Rashad was mentored on the basics of trading and branch operations. Rashad returned to Smith Barney after high school as an Operations Assistant and later began a career as a Sales Assistant at CIBC Oppenheimer, studying both Series 7, General Securities and Series 3 Commodities Futures. He left the finance industry in 2003 to pursue his true passion for civil service and embarked on an adventurous career as a Los Angeles firefighter. Rashad is a licensed Commercial Helicopter Pilot and has a commitment and drive for success, second to none. With Rashad’s exposure to top executives in Fortune 500 companies, he is well versed in the drive, commitment and professionalism that it takes to run a successful company.
